Timber Frame Workshop 2012: Food and Dining
Unlike other similar natural building workshops, we provide all meals and indoor dining facilities for the Timber Framing Workshop. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be prepared by the Milkweed Mercantile Organic Cafe. Meals will be served buffet style and will consist of fresh, local food prepared simply and deliciously. Organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee and tea will also be provided! The meals will include an occasional local meat dish, delicious vegan fare, and hearty organic vegetarian dishes, featuring local, seasonal, and organic produce. We will happily accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies. Make sure to indicate any restrictions/allergies in your application.
It is recommended that participants bring snacks and specialty items if they wish (think nuts, dried fruit, granola) to supplement the otherwise complete meal service.
Lodging and Accommodations During Your Stay
We provide student accommodations including a 8′ x 10′ tent platform, access to composting toilets and indoor shower facilities, free wireless internet, and land line phone access. These accommodations are already included in the price of the Timber Framing workshop.
For students that do not wish to camp, the Milkweed Mercantile Inn offers reduced rates to Timber Framing Workshop participants.*
*Reduced room rates are subject to availability and vary according to room occupancy. Reduced rates are offered for workshop participants that rent a shared, not private, room with other participants. Contact the Milkweed Mercantile for more details, prices and room availability.
